Más información

EMLA cream is a local anaesthetic or numbing medicine containing lidocaine and prilocaine. Local anaesthetics are used to reduce sensitivity in the penis to delay ejaculation.

EMLA cream contains two active ingredients: prilocaine and lidocaine, both of which are local anaesthetics. They are used to numb areas that would otherwise feel pain.

The sensation is caused by the stimulation of pain receptors on nerve endings. The stimulation causes sodium to enter the nerve endings, causing an electrical signal to build up in the nerve, which, when large enough, will be passed along the nerves to the brain.

Lidocaine and prilocaine temporarily block the passage of pain signals along the nerves by stopping sodium from entering the nerve endings at the site. This prevents the electrical signal from building up and passing through the nerve fibres to the brain.

When EMLA cream is applied to the skin, lidocaine and prilocaine prevent signals from passing from that area to the brain. This means that sensitivity is diminished and when used on the penis, it can help the man take longer to ejaculate.

Most users of EMLA cream have a positive experience with it. Male individuals who have used this product were able to delay their ejaculation. Since premature ejaculation can lead to a disappointing sex life for both the man and his partner, EMLA cream can help make this more satisfying.

You should use EMLA cream as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the product label. You should not apply the cream in amounts greater than those recommended by your doctor.

Your doctor will usually give you instructions on how much medicine to use and how long to leave it on your skin. You should follow these instructions carefully.

Use the smallest amount of EMLA cream needed to numb your skin. If you use too much EMLA cream, your body may absorb too much of the medicine, especially if you apply it to large areas of skin or if you apply heat to the treated skin areas. Using the cream on cut or irritated areas of skin can lead to more medicine being absorbed.

Occasionally, you may need to cover the skin where I apply the cream to keep the medicine in place. You should do this only when your doctor tells you to.

EMLA Cream 5%

EMLA Cream comes in a strength of 5%.

EMLA Cream 30g

EMLA Cream typically comes in a 30g tube.

Usually, a thick layer of cream is applied to the intact skin area.

On adult male genital skin, apply a thick layer of cream to the penis 15 minutes before you plan to have sex. It is very important to be sure to wipe off the cream and discard it before you start having sex, as you should not have any cream on your skin when you enter your partner.
