    • Feel that your dosage of Kapake is no longer giving you the same level of pain relief and that you need to up your dosage. Adults and elderly

How much Kapake you should take must be decided by your prescriber/a medical professional. You must always take your dosage as it has been outlined. Never take more than your recommended dosage and never take the medication for longer than has been recommended to you.

Although your dosage will be personalised to you by a professional, on average, the recommended dose for adults and the elderly is one to two tablets, taken every four hours. You should not take more than eight tablets in any 24-hour period.

    Children and adolescents

The recommended dose for children aged 12 years old and over, is one tablet to be taken every six hours. This is up to a maximum of four tablets in any 24-hour period.

Kapake must be taken orally and can be broken via the score line if you feel like you need to break the medication, in order to swallow it easier.

You must not take Kapake for more than 3 days. If you feel like you need to continue the medication past this point, you must speak to your GP.
